31 CG

The CG is named after our first customer who ordered this boat. 

The Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard needed a large deep Vee hull that could travel in type 4-5 seas, carry 6 personnel with arms and be able to mount a large caliber gun in the bow. Bowen developed the 31 using the design of the 28 but widened the boat one foot more to give the 

Coast Guard crew more volume so they can feel comfortable after 3-6 hour patrols and at times high speeds. CG1 and CG2 after 20 years is still the boat that all Coast Guard officers prefer in the history of all boats, and if they had a choice, we are told, they would use it as the standard boat if the Politicians didn’t get involved.
